Sup all:.

I made this track, "Craters In The Sky", and it's Drum N' Bass, with some Psy Influences.
Thought I should post this up, because it sounded like the right thing to do.
So check it, let me kno what's up.

Also:: It's hosted on Dj Kenosis' site, because he's cool like that.

I think first of all you need good amens(rhytm loops for dnb)...also you need some synths...for making good sound of bass...

your snare is too loud in mids
I don't hear kick..because in dnb kick is'nt on very low freqs...so try to cut it.
I think those synths are like guitars so try to differ them...
:)

thats all

good luck in your music way

After listening to it a couple of times I have the following comments, Kenny. In general, this is a step up from most of the stuff put on here: less cheesy, more interesting from a compositional standpoint. Almost all of the problems on it deal from an eq'ing/mastering standpoint.

- I like the the perc loops that you have going: well done.
- the Neil Armstrong sample is fantastic
- I like the electric guitarish-sounding synth you have going. I was able to get close to that sound by taking the 'Gated Sync' preset on Vanguard and then tweaking the hell out of it and adding some delay. It's tough to do without Slayer. Well done on it.

- the kick is a bit too harsh and high frequency. I have some samples if you could use some. There's also a kick tutorial on here that's really, really good.
- needs a slightly bit more bass, the rhythm doesn't have to be too complicated
- I agree that the snares are a bit too loud in the midrange frequencies. I would cut the volume down by 25% or so and then use the parametric eq on FL to make sure the sound doesn't bleed too much into other frequencies.

-record this at a higher bit rate. If you can't record it at 320 kbps for some reason then send it to me and I'll do the recording ;).

Um, you have to *buy* Vanguard: I can't just give it to you. Alternatively, you could send me a FL file and I can play around with Vanguard and record a sample for you ;).
