| I only use the jet and wah on my CDJs occasionally to accentuate the end of a phrase, particularly in very repetitive tracks. |

i'm still learning bits and pieces on my KP2, I should realy know it inside out by now, i've had it 18 months:o
Other than that, I use all the bits i know on the kaos pad, bass cuts, swap the basslines over for a bar or two, tease in the next track, or, if i can get the next track matched quick enough, I bring it in before the second breakdown

| I almost never use effects, but if I have a filter available to me I might use that occasionally. |

depending on the mixer i have in front ov me really.
i mostly use the echo and delay at around 1/2 3/4 beats
flanger (sometimes) use at the end of a break when say for example the snare and kick are fading in i add the flanger to phaten the atmosphere up and str8t away all u see is HANDS IN THE AIR works everytime lol.
il some times use pitch shifter just to litrally live remix the track if your ears are good enought u can tell wat key a track is in and u can play about for example
bass line keys lets say C,E,G,C il play about and make it go C,F,A,C then back to its original pattern its a very tricky one to pull of for you have to be on the money everytime buts its a trick that really fk's with ppl's minds hahaha.
auto bpm - EH I DONT THINK SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAHAHAHA
hot cues once again for live remixing.
filters use alot in breaks and stuff along with the phaser
reverb il add if i know a track feels to dry il add verb to wet it up a bit ;)........
thats about it really |

| For me, I personally like to keep it to echo, flanger, phase, and at times I use the trans effect depending on the song. Its fun to mess around with the time and parameter settings right before the big phrase changes. I can sometimes get carried away with all the effects, so i try to tell myself that with effects, less is more. |

So do you use the song you have already cued up and beat matched to remix with or do you choose whatever song you want our of your collection and use that then prepare you other song later? |

| Loops are used to add an additional layer to the mix. I have a DJM600 w/ built in sampler. Occasionally I'll pull a sample off the upcoming vinyl and loop it as I go into the transition to the new vinyl. Or you can take a sample off the out going vinyl and loop it over the transition into the new vinyl. There are really endless possibilities. Sampling is generally more used in House/Electro than trance. |

you can do some magical things with loops (especially if you have a few in the same key + vocals + other random goodies)
