Hi TA's!
Long time I made my last post, since I work too much now :(
Most of the times, you can say which tunes are good, and which ones are great enough, so much that you can listen to them many times without feeling you are getting bored with it.
The problems with catchy tunes and cheesy ones is, that even most people love them the first time they listen to it, after a few times being listened, they can be thrown to the trash because they are no longer good. I dont know the formula, but thats the way it is. This doesnt happen with the good songs. Those are the ones that you would list in your Top10, or TOP-whatever.
I am really impressed with Shexy, by Espen & Elusive. There have been so many times I've listened to it, in the car, in the office, in a quiet turned-off-lights night, pitched up, pitched down, whoa!!, this song is perfect (IMO). There may be some people who may havent listened to it yet. Pleas give it a try! When you listen to the 4th minute and after, you'll understand. Honestly the best prog tune ever made, at least for me ;)
But I am sharing opinions. If someone know of a prog tune you like so much, and you cant stop listening please, share yer knowledge ;) |

Everything by Espen is exellent imo. Maybe you should try
Espen & Stian - Dominating Male (Never getting tired of this one!)
Another tune that never gets old in my ears are
Michael Burns - The Ambience |

A tune that I'll play because it's decent, but pretty much just fills the gaps between better tunes.
More of a tool than anything. |

Riko - Tokyo
Jay Lumen - Perpetual Drifting
Derek Howell - Western High, Funk It
3 Colours - Morning Dust (Alexander Kostruba Remix)
Benz & MD - Turning The Curve (Simon & Shaker Remix)
Nicolas Coronel & Juan Pablo Graziano - La Paz
Yeah these are better IMO. But i'm just a fan of melodic prog period. Shexy is pretty good, but not the best prog tune ever. |
