UK insurance question (moving across seas and records) :p...

yo UKTA... how are you guys doing?
well i got a question from a friend today and i figured this was probably the only place i could maybe get some answers :)
i have a friend that is moving from london to the united states...the problem is that he has about a $50,000 collection worth of records. would anyone by chance know of an insurance company that might insure a record collection like this on the move?
any help would be appreciated :p |

No idea, but you could try someone like Pickfords (CLICK) Fortis, Norwich Union, AXA or any of these people. I've been with Fortis for travel ('cos getting usual travel insurance is a bitch as I have type 1 diabetes) and they were great about it. So might be worth trying with vinyl too! |

do you know how hot those metal containers can get? i wouldnt stick $50k of vinyl in one of them unless they were really well packed .. wouldnt want to receive a load of warped vinyls on the other end .. |
