thats what i was thinking.. :D
they should have remixes of that song where the city is changed according to what city its being played...
cuz i was puttin my hands up for detroit at the guv but really i was in TO...its confussing to ppl....
just think...one nite ur all sketched out, and u hear the song, next thing u know, u think ur lost...u think u ended up in the wrong city adn you start to panic...
im just saying...changing the city name would be helpfull

being from windsor you should know the cultural relevence. Im assuming that the song tributes detroit because without detroit there would be no techno sound at all. Detroit (and windsor) were the pioneer cities for techno and dance music as we know it today.
Chicago and New York blended the hard beats of detroit into the garage that they were producing and from it came the music that we now call house music.
So when fedde legrand says put your hands up for detroit, i can only assume hes saluting house and techno music in general. |
