| hey. the end of the semester is nearly here, and im in a situation where im failing this subject and have no hope of passing it. do you guys think its better for me to withdraw from the subject and have a 'withdrawn fail' appear on my transcript... or sit the exam and end up with a mark like 20-30? any help appreciated |

learn 2 cheat
other than that... I think it will look bad anyway but it really depends on what type of positions you go for later on... some really care about marks.. others don't. |

Have you spoken about it with your teacher? Course co-ordinator?
I think best thing for you to do is speak to your course co-ordinator, make up some bull story & sit the exam...tell your teacher for the subject too, because if you haven't gotten proper marks on your assessments, maybe he/she will let you do it again? I dunno.....but I think you should sit the exam..
Good Luck:D |

its probably better *if u are sure you are going to fail* to withdraw with fail. thats why the option is there.
also, i dont think it will show date u withdraw, so u could always say u just missed census date, and had to cop a fail.
i dunno, take missyms advice; speak to people in power :p |

I would sit it Pete, cram your ass before the exam and really do your best, that's all you can do. If the grade is house, at least you gave it your all and mentally you won't feel so bad about it. I would hate to think you'd be happy withdrawing without attempting, I know I wouldn't pull out without giving it a genuine go. ;):D
good luck mate! |

| hmmm if u do well in the final exam and get close to 50 in ur overall mark, maybe you can apply for a conceded pass...? |

missy m for once has good advice!
speak to them and weigh up all the available options, i would be hesitant to withdraw without doing so as it can have repercussions down the line, espeically if you want to transfer or something later on.
you may find you might be able to make up the work requirements (though will take a bit of hard work) and sit the exam to get a PGO (pass grade only) depending on your individual situation...
also speak to the student services department at your uni, they are your advocates and its there job to deal with such matters...
i was accused of plagerism a while back (which i was found innocent) and it was these people and services that went into back for me..
there are many loop holes in the system its just a matter of finding them and then exploiting them! |
