WMC 2007, can i get some info please

hello peoples,
just after some general info about WMC, am seriously lookingin to coming over next year for it, but am not sure as to whats its all about really.
Is it a corporate event that only businessess can attend, or can anyone go, i'm a bit confused really
Also, any othwer info that you'd consider useful would be nice,

Winter Music Conference its a 5 day event week where panelists, record labels, dj's, technology and those on the industry gather up and have this little panels and conventions if you might call it. You can buy the pass to attend all those seminars and stuff, artists, dj's and like I said, those in the Industry are the ones that usually go to this. The pass gets you into some of the official party's. In the background of it all, there are hundred's of party's going on that take advantage of the influx of DJ's and artists coming over for this. Thats why we see so many party's all over the place. Let it be pool party's, inside hotels, clubs, lounges and private alike. Even some stores have jumped into bringing DJ's to play during their store hours in SoBe.
Ultra Music Festival its Winter Music Festivals official closing party.. and this happened through the same reason that Ultra took advantage of the influx of DJ's in the first place.
In other words... come, you'll find party's fitting for every taste, whatever time of day, 24/7, all while enjoying the best weather in Florida, which falls right on Spring time. |

with regards to ultra, how long does it last, where is itlocateed etc etc, and how much does it cost? |

Ultra lasts just about a whole day. Noon til midnight. Located at bicentenial park (downtown miami) and depending on how early u buy the ticket u can pay as low as 40 or as high as 75 at the door |

Hi im going with two friends and my girlfriend. 100% sure all the way from mexico...
One question.. In those parties at space or mansion, is it like when bigs dj's go there that i can pay for example, two bottles of grey goose and get a table+no cover or prices go really up???
Also, I would like to attend the boat party of sasha and digweed, how can i get tickets for that???
See you guys in miami, would be nice to meet some miami Ta's. |

March 20 - 25 in 2007, w/ Ultra being on Saturday the 24th.
Most of the parties you are going to want to goto aren't actually WMC parties but rather MMC or M3 or somethin else.
Some of those come before or after the WMC dates (for instance last year there were incredible shows 2 days before and 2 after the WMC dates). So you shouldn't book your trip around those dates neccesscarily.
Also, I went to Ultra last year just b/c it was my first time there and I felt I had to. Despite the awesome lineups they had, it was an all around crappy time. I am most definitley skipping it next time around. |

this year was the first year they had it at a new venue (down the street from the old venue but very different. Ultra up until last year was pretty good but it went to this year. Main stage had technical problems all night. A big gripe i had was that the new venue is really just one huge field. the other venue was alittle different so it was easy to spread the tents out. At ultra 8. I was watching pvd spinning in the main stage but i was alittle bit far back cuz of the crowd so i was hearing the house tent across the field and another tent in the opposite direction. I hope they fix the spacing problems next year. I would tell you to go to Global Gathering which will hopefully be a week before ultra so i'm guessing 3/18'ish. It kicked ultras ass this year. |

I see that your coming from England?!?! If I were you I would just skip the festival and focus on the parties that go around elsewhere. WHY?? because you've got plenty of better festivals on your own homecountry heh.. festivals here aint nothing compared to those over there.
As for people asking about prices and reservations. PRICES go up exponentially. And about reserving tables in Mansion and other venues alike.. I can almost bet the prices at the door alone will be expensive and tables are usually very very very expensive. It all falls on the parties name/popularity and venue. |
