| I was curious if anyone has an estimate at what it would cost to fix the cd reading function on the cdj200. Mine broke this weekend and the place I went to said it would be 50 bucks just to look into it as a service fee. One of my friends had this same problem with his cdj800 under warrantee and said the bill came out to 250. |

Don't even try to fix something like that on your own.

Maybe your player's just dirty ?
Did you try a CD lens cleaner ? |

No, don't do that.
You should never use CD lens cleaners in a CDJ.
It's even in the manual.

I'll rephrase that : soft CD cleaners without any liquid.
Pioneer says that so then can rip your butt off £50 just for cleaning a lens... |

Good luck with that...
CDJ's are normal CD players, they are more akin to CD-ROM drives in your PC. They spin at much faster rates than a CD deck. If you want to risk you CDJ, then go right ahead.
