Yeah.. PvD does have that power. I heard his set but missed seeing him interact with the crowd. IIRC, he used to be very inanimated when he spun. Though it's just wayyyy toooo soon! I do want to see other people too! :p
And AvB is going to be at a different NYE massive! Seems like LA is getting everybody. At least SF have an NYE massive. *sigh*

It's good that PVD is playing @ TAO again. That way ppl will look at it this way: "I SAW HIM @ MM already....I don't wanna see him again!". PPL won't be attracted by his name again on the line up , turning away a
part of the general SoCal party-goers! (I HOPE!!!!)
less ppl = more room / less traffic / less chaos.

Or alternatively, they can be like, omg, PvD was SICK and I wanted to see him again. Then they drag all the friends to come out, ending with just as big as a crowd as we started. :D

No. It depends on how it's set up. Headlining DJs occupy the blue zone. Other areas, to the sides, are assigned for other types of music such as house and drum & bass.
I wouldn't care that much about colors on the guide there. Once you're there your ears will guide you. Nothing to worry about.
