1)Hey Mike.... well.. for the first Question: The Advantages of a 4 Channel mixer over a 2 channel one.... is obviuslly... u just have 4 options to put whatever u want.... 2 TT and 2 Cd player.. 3 TTs and 1 Cd PLayer.... 4 TTs (Remember that u are not Carl Cox).. or just 2 TTs.. and let 2 channel free... so... mine has 4 Channel.. but i just use 2 TTs..... but i want to buy 2 cd players so... i could use those channels some day... i hope that help with the first Question.
2)Well... in Turntables i dont think that out there are to many options.... i think u shloud go with the Technics Mk2 1200 or 1200.. or the newers.... mine are the Classics MK2 1200.. i bought thems Used but in good shape.... cuz they are expensive like new..... for me..... of course there are other TTs like Vestax or Gemini... but i really dont know thems.
3)Man... in this question im not pretty sure... i just know that those DJM-500 and the DJM-600 Rules!!! ... they are great... well.. what i have read... and what people says, but they are Pretty EXPENSIVE (More that 1.000 US $) well... that will be like a dream for me... i just have an old 4 Channel Numark Mixer.
4) Well... i dont know if u are talking about Phisically Stores or Online Stores... anyway... i cant help ya in that at all... cuz i bought my little equipment in my country (Venezuela) .. and i dont know Online Stores in the net.
Well... thats all i can Say... I think i was a liitle Boring to Type this... but well.. at least i try to help ya....
Last thing: Buy what u think is good.... dont spend too much money.. dont let u going crazy to buy the better Mixer and the Newer Turntables... and after that..... u dont have money to buy Records... try to Administrate goo your Money... if u are Learning Djing.. u dont need the DJM-600 or something... just but your MK2 1200 or 1210 and a Desent Mixer.... and u can always sell thems in the future if u want to buy something better... that will be more Fun!! :)
Well... thats all.. See ya... |

Hey Mike
Well I would reccomend the Vestax PCV 175/275 Mixers which are both at great quality and they have 3 channels.
Turntables is tricky, best are Technics, Stanton and Vestax, but they are all expensive.
You cab visit www.denon.com
they have a pretty decent digital turntable which doesnt cost much.
But if you are only starting I think you should go with CD players.
In that case I would reccomend the Pioneer CDJ-100S or Denon DN2600 Players. |

thanks for the advice. What features make turntables better than others? basically why are technics and vestax etc so good compared to others |

Technics are the standart turntables in clubs, since the 1972 when the SL-1200 series started, almost no changes were made in the engine area, the turntable is very solid and durable and can hold up for allot of years.
The Vestax is also a very solid turntable with a strong engine, the best model for your price range i believe will be the PDX-2000.
Stanton produce some great quality turntables, again a solid engine and good durability.
All of these decks are very accurate and prestigeous. |

which are both EXCELENT MIXERS!!
(im talking about decent clubs)
;) |
Well, thats not true in all cases.
Believe me when I say that most clubs use mixers you never even heard of :)
Mixers such as Rane, Mackie, Ecler.
Of course the Commercial companies are being used too, allot of clubs hold the Vestax PMC-55 which is the most amazing mixer I have ever seen, and of course the wonderful DJM-600.
The A&H is not so common mostly because its expensive price. |

htfr sell the pdx-2000 for about £370. But does this mean its 370 each? i wouldnt hav thought it was 370 for 2 |

The price reffers to each turntable
But its a good investment. |
