God Bless Melbourne! There is something for everyone here no matter what music you like, bars, clubs, cafes, even our souvlakis are better (tathi and grunt can swear on this :D), and generally speaking people are more welcoming and friendly than in Sydney - no pun intended to anyone from Sydney. ;) I felt more at home in Toronto than I do in Sydney!

Yeah I know that the Aus govt can do more about it all, but still if drugs are prevalent in ANY society, then there will be many/some 'messed' up people! Not just the most in the Aus scene...
Education or not, people who take anything should know or do their own research into what they're getting themselves into.....
Yeah there are a few 'harder' nights in Melb + events put on, I mainly prefer the crazy Pharmacy parties....

Yeah but you cant really blame the police can you....especially when some idiot punters keep o'ding, etc...
You're lucky you have yet to witness any violence, I have before and it wasnt a pretty site.

well when I was there in 2004 i couldn't even find a blardy trance club. house and hip hop were big. Sensation has moved away from trance since then. Other than the huge events (which have minimal trance anyway) trance doesn't seem to be big at all in Amsterdam.

Melbourne may have a bigger raver/trance/techno scene than sydney thats for sure... but you can keep it... most sydney people dont want our beautiful harbour views tainted by phat pants and as one person mentioned earlier: some grown dudes sucking on pacifiers. We have enough problems with skinny leg jean electro bang gangers.
I think house music is bigger in Sydney than trance will ever be. |
