can anyone refer me to a good source to see where the history of raves and trance intersects? sometimes it seems like raves are happy hardcore-centered, other times it seems like they're about jungle... but i'm not quite sure about trance. i've been to a rave-ish trance event, but i'd like to know the history and the current state of affairs.

thanks!

yeah, i've read the wikipedia article on both trance and raves and neither satisfies my fancy...

i was looking for maybe some personal know-how from older members

I think trance is more club based than rave.. Or festivals.

It looks like you want more information than the internet can really give. buy a book all about it!!

Look for the history of Techno, not Trance. In the beginning everything was just "Techno" - even what we call Trance today was called Techno in the beginning of the 90s.
