As much as I am anxiously awaiting Tiesto here, I do think the ticket prices are getting outrageous. But then again, as you so perfectly put it...to each his own :)
I remember when he played NYC a few years back and you could get a VIP ticket for less than $200 so when you compare that to the simple Atlanta show, you have to start questioning the prices.
But hey, as long as there is a demand (and there is), the prices will keep going up. I bought 7 tickets @ $30 each. Now I wish I would have bought about 10 more and could have been making some money :)

she doesn't post but she loves the music. she was there for jOOf, AVB, steve lawler and several other shows. her name is joy. some of the atlanta TA's met her last christmas when i was home and they had a little get together before lawler at 1150. hopefully some good shows will be happening while i'm home for christmas. |

lol...u know the sad thing is I might actually bid on them cuz I just find out my GF had those days off and she's dying to see Tiesto (and I've only seen him 413215 times)
I should know delaying on buying the tix woundn't save me $$ at all
blah...

well isnt waht everyone is doing illegal.. i thought scalping tickets as illegal..... plus you being the promoter.... etc

First off, scalping tickets is not illegal in the state of Georgia. The only stipulation is you have to be 100 yards away from the venue. Look at all the ticket brokers that sell tickets like empire and encore tickets.
2nd, for shows at the Tabernacle we have to pay for every comp ticket that we release to people. Its added into the venue capacity. So if i have to buy the tickets myself then i should be able to trade stuff for it. |
