Fruity Loops Question #2

Hey.
Im only using the latest demo version of fruity loops, and I want to open up an mp3 file into. The problem is, it doesn't open mp3 or wav files, because I've already tried to change the format to wav.. and it still won't work. Only midi!...
Im doing some vocal work for some people, some of them live in Europe so it's up to me to put the vocals in myself.. and Im getting soooooooo frusterated with it because I can't open up a file !!!:whip:
Is this because it's the demo, or because I need to switch it to midi format... if so... HOW!?... thank you! :D

Sarah,
Is your mp3 file a vocal clip or a melody or something else?? If its a melody you could have it made into a midi file by manually selecting the notes from the piano roll. If its a vocal clip, you'll have to convert it to a wav file and use it as an audio file.
However, you're saying that you could not open wav files. so I believe the problem is b/c its a demo version. In the full version you are permitted to upload wav files (not mp3 files) to a channel. I hope this helps :)

if its a melody or a vocal sample.. u could try to make it .wav

and then place it in the SAMPLES folder(in windows) that way u can get it into the SAMPLE BROWSER.. so just copy the .wav file into

c:/program files/fruityloops/samples

or what else ur fruityloops map is..

What you have to do is convert it into a wav file as others have stated. Then, you have to make a new sampler channel. Click on the channel and then a window should pop up. Click the folder icon on the window that just popped up, and find the wav file.
