After a month hiatus from making any trance sets I’m back with a new melodic and uplifting trance set that’s sure to elevate your spirits all the way to the distant heavens or at least make you dance. The music itself is more of a 2006 retrospective of my favorite melodic trancers from this year along with a few other classic tracks. The end result is an awe-inspiring mix you guys are bound to love so go ahead, download, and enjoy!

1) Orkidea - Beautiful (Alt & F4 Remix) (edit)
2) Icone - Invisible
3) Smith & Pledger - White
4) Amex - Whirlpool
5) Carl B - All Day
6) System F - Insolation (Ferry Corsten Flashover Mix)
7) Mike Shiver - Morning Drive (edit)
8) Alan-M - Spaced

Thanks for your honesty djx2! You're right about the tracks. About eight of those are from this year and the rest some personal golden oldies that I thought went well with the mix. Again thanks for listening.:) |

welcome back
I must start with track selection. It is great IMO. At first look (first post here) I didn't expect the tracklist to be _so_ good. Loving each and every tune here... and the flow is tight and constant, what is also superb. Insolation really got my attention, and Voyage brought back memories :) Let's move to mixing. After first transition I was sad, knowing I'm gonna complain about it. Melody clash really disturbed me. I am respecting the simple note, that when the melody clashes, you should mix later, also when two melodies go well, you can start mixing earlier (but be aware of the fact that too many sounds in the same moment can also ruin the idea of transition). Sounds easy, right? yet very helpful. Fortunately only the first transition was bad. As you warmed up, your mixing improved. Take a listen to transitions from Spaced to Alone Tonight and the next transition to Jonas Steur remix. I guess you are proud of them, and yes, these are perfect, brilliant transitions. You deserve not only the applause, but standing ovation! There's a simple reason behind this success. All three tracks are the same key :) The tracks blend so well that I lost idea what track was actually playing. Ok, enough of this sophistry :D Surely one of your best mixes. I think rating it for 9/10 would be fair enough. |

I was browsing through my sets folder the other day and found this in it, downloaded it and forgot to give it a listen.
I like it very much, has a nice flow - some beautiful tracks.. some I have been a fan of for a long time. So all in all a great mix I'll be listening to many times in the future, well done dude. |

That's comforting to know and thanks for your comments. I hope my future mixes will be just as pleasureable.

You're the second guy to mention the melody clash. I didn't even notice the clash, but since it seems to be the sore thumb here I'll listen harder and try not to make the same mistake again.
