Hi all
I am experiencing problems when I am burning audio cd's with Nero (I have the latest Nero installed)
When I come to play them in my car, or anywhere infact, the audio on the CD skips a lot and the beginning of the tracks are missing, they seem to start suddenly rather than how they are meant to (and how they are in the mp3 or whatever)
Please can someone help me? anyone experience the same issue? could it be to do with the brand of the CDR media I am using?
Please help, I have a Benq DVD writer.
Cheers |

| Try writing at a different speed. How old is your cd player? You should be able to select a standard audio cd on nero to be burned instead of mp3. |

| I suggest burning at a lower speed, At 16x. |

Have you by any chance installed version 7 of Nero?
I've read numerous people saying they had problems
with it, reverted back to version 6 and all problems went away.
If you have version 7 try going back to 6 and see if that helps.
I'm not a big fan of Nero myself (too bulky and all).
You could also try the following to burn your audio cd's:
Burrrn
It's small, simple, easy to use and free.
If you like Nero-style then have a look at CDBurnerXP:
CDBurnerXP
Also free and does its job good.
Let us know if you have any succes.
Good luck! :)

| Seems quite suprising really how many people this problem is affecting..... i also have some friends on MSN that have the same issue with Nero 7.....that is the root cause of this issue.... thanks for recommending those 2 burning programs, I have to say I like the basic look of Burrrn! |

I had a similar issue with EZ-CD creator. Am using 2 CDROM drives.
One to read and one to write.
There was a function to change the rate of audio extraction.
"Select higher settings for faster performance. Select slower settings to correct audio problems."
I moved the slider to slow and the audio gaps/jumps went away. |

This is true, i also had the same problem until reading about how replacing the 'mp3PRO.dll' file in Nero 7 with the one from Nero 6.
You can download the 'mp3PRO.dll' file from Nero 6 from the link below which you replace with the existing file located under Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins..
Known to work, did for me, can't guarentee it will work for everyone..

| Use a laser lens cleaner. It's a special cd with little bristles on it. Just play the cd into your drive and let it run. While the cd is spinning it will cleans the lens. |
