I would agree with you to a point. But, market value is what it is...and he's getting his money else where. |

I really dun think it costs that much for a PVD gig. I am saying cos I know PVD spins in India atleast once a year and I know Indians are not paying 100k or even close to that....No chance.
I always thought Tiesto charged the most out of the lot. PVD's gigs in Bombay cost the promoters about 40k including everything...reasonable for PVD imo... |

The fact is he doesn't owe it to the city to come here, and he doesn't book himself. It's not so much "backing him up" as refuting pointless bull that gets spewed around these boards every other month about the fact he hasn't been here. Unless someone has spoken to him personally, why the need to say stuff like "he thinks Toronto is full of s." Oh really? News to me.
I think as Torontonians we're overall a little spoiled with the talent that comes through here, and because of that we tend to reside on a sometimes too-high horse regarding who we believe should be here as if they owe it to us or something. Bottom line you like a DJ, you make the effort to see them - not the other way around. |
