Alot of people dont know how much I adore house music. My sister pretty much raised me on funky house and progressive trance/house. Way before I got into trance. So for the longest time I've always wanted to do a full on house mix. My only problem was I never found a good amount of tracks that personally really wanted to have in a mix. I wanted a blend between funky, progressive, electro and that mushroom jazz sound. Something you could dance to and relax to at the same time was my ultimate goal here. After some while I found enough tracks that not only had that sound but complimented each other well.

The first track is by one of my favorite producers Max Graham. Its always a hit with him and rarely a miss. This is exactly the type of feel I wanted to this mix. Very funky but loungey and energetic. Space Disco was the perfect way to start off this mix I felt.

Up next are 16 Bit Lolita's who recently gave us the amazing track Passing Lights and this time around give us a very funky song with an interesting sample. Again that mushroom jazz feel but with a tougher kick to it. Anyone who hasnt checked out 16 Bit Lolita's I highly recommend getting anything and everything by this duo.

Mathew Dekay makes amazing progressive house that has this great deep sound. Let the Game Begin was originally made specifically for Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 5 album and it did its job very well in that cd. Amazing jungle like sounds along with that deep male vocal sample really add alot of energy to this mix. I also decided to play around and mashup Jase From Outta Space Do What You Want (Max Graham Afterhours in Montreal Mix). The vocals and track seemed to blend very well together and thought it would add some much needed vocals to the mix.

Another track from Max Graham (I couldnt resist!) titled Cosmic Funk. If you like these tracks keep an eye out for Max Grahams artist album which should hopefully debut sometime this coming year if not sooner. He does it again though..great lounge/funky house feel that I love so much.

Up next is a track I heard in Sven Vath's recent Mysteryland set that really caught me off guard. Great electro/minimalish housey feel. Gabriel Ananda-Ihre Personliche Glucksmelodie (Freeform Five Remix) may not roll off the tongue and into your heart but it will make you dance = )

Jody Wisternoff is 1/2 of the genius behind Way Out West with Nick Warren. Anything thats created by either him or Nick I usually am very fond of. This is no exception with everyone pumping this song its real easy to see why anyone would play this track. Great peak time feel to it and tons of energy.

Up next I wanted to calm things down just a tad bit and also bring to you the title track of this mix. Too much energy can kill a mix and make it seem a bit over the top. The same way I would apply this to live sets where you dont want to make everyone out dance themselves I wouldnt want the same thing to happen here. So I decided to use a beautiful track by Roland Klinkenberg titled Twilight. You may know Roland when he produces with his buddy Remy. They are responsible for great house/tech blends. I saw BT use this song live in a video on youtube and completely forgot about how much I loved this track. Listen closely after the breakdown and you'll hear very subtle but an undeniably beautiful piano riding along the melody. This is the exact sound I've always wanted a mix to be full of hence the reason I named this mix Twilight = )

Coca Y Villa-La Noche will always have a special place in my heart because it was one of the songs I used the first time I played live at Natural Seduction. The response to this song is always amazing and wanted to dig it up and bring it back one more time. The guitar in this track is nothing short of incredible so enjoy!

Another track used in Tiesto's ISOS 5 cd. Empty Streets is very beautiful and really does remind me of LA when its lit up in the darkness and you get out of the car to feel that cold air hit your face = ) Everything is done right in this track and im sure it'll be a favorite for many in this mix.

The Jacques Lu Cont Mix of The Killers When You Were Young was a last minute decision and youll hear it in the mix. I was between this and Reflekts Need to Be Loved but since this track is fresh and has a great closing feel to it I thought it would be best. If you know Stuart Price (Thin White Duke, Jacques Lu Cont) you'll know he loves remixing mainstream and popular tracks. He usually does it just right to. Also alot of people may not know he's responsible for Madonna's latest album which really sounded more like a Stuart Price feat Madonna project not the other way around hehe.

Well this was a first for me and I really enjoyed mixing it I can only hope you have as much fun listening to it = ) (Link in the title as usual)

enjoyed this one Minaya. love the track at 31min. which one is that?

overall the set was groovy and light, but was kinda underwhelming as far as programming.

of course very nice stuff as always. still really identify with your style.
