Review: David Guetta @ Lot332 (pg. 3)

Overall had a good time but I wouldn't go back to Lot. The crowd was pretty much crap (rude, pushy etc) , ppl kept stepping on me all night (poor toes) as I was in front of the DJ booth. The one thing that was great is the ventilation in the place with the retractable roof. Hardly broke a sweat even though I was dancing my ass off for a bit.
Good seeing all the ppl that came out! :)
I dunno if it was trance or prog but that 30-40 minutes was WOWOWOWOWOWOW for me. |

The club was filled with smokers. Nobody was enforcing the smoking rules. For someone with bronchitis - this was not appreciated.
It felt like I was in the smoking patio at Guv - that is how bad it was.
The door staff was less than welcoming. After having our ID's checked in the guest-list line the bouncer barked "you wait right there" and physically moved me as I was trying to enter the building. He then waved in 10+ of his buddies from outside the guestlist giving each of them a long hug and welcome (a process which took about 5 minutes). |

Lot 332 (6/10) - I think It took almost an hour to get in. But other than that and the inability to take care of all the smokers...it was good. The lighting can get intense at times. :crazy:
David Guetta (8/10) - I got in when he finished playing don't let me go but thats ok......b/c he played it again twice throught the night and I think he ended with it too, thats when the crowd exploded hands in the air, screaming (to the point of hardly hearing the music), whistling, etc. I enjoyed some of his harder beats near the first half of the set.
Crowd (7/10) - good, energetic at times. There where ppl originally from outside of Toronto like Calgary & Paris( which see them like every other week lol) that came to see him. twas sketchy at the end, as usual. And I didn't meet any TAs.
overall (7/10) - No question....definatly worth it. |
