Ah so I'm not really having fun?? And the dent in my pocket... I'd spend roughly 3 times as much money going out if I drank alcohol instead like "normal" people do. As for having the reverse effect when it wears off, you're wrong. Yeah you feel a bit but I (or anybody I know) don't go into stages of deep depression or anything similar. I've been taking pills for years now and

a) It hasn't led to an addiction. I can easily (and have in the past) gone months between pills. You don't get a craving for them like you do with other drugs.

b) It hasn't led to other drugs. Yeah I've tried other drugs but not as a result of using E, and it hasn't led to any antisocial behaviour either. Infact I'd say that since I've been using it I've become a lot more confident and a lot more satisfied with everyday life. And that doesn't go away when I stop doing them, it's just changed the way I see myself and the rest of the world and made me a lot more open-minded.

c) No health problems as yet but I'll keep you posted :p Sure it may lead to problems in later life but what doesn't? Smoking gives you cancer, alcohol causes liver problems, too much salt makes your legs fall off, eat a banana when youre pregnant and there's a 0.002% increased chance of your baby having 6 toes. Nothings good for you, but that's half the fun init?

Seeing people high to the point where they cant even talk right makes me ing sick to my stomache. Like those people deserve all the emotional trauma they will face years down the road. And DONT say that dosnt your emotions up because they do. I know lots of adults now that did tons of E while kids and there ED.

A very close friend of mine always takes at least 5 pills at a time during parties. His tolerance is so high that he cant get the effect any other way. This extensive, prolonged use has also caused his ability to manage anger almost non-existent. He is one of the most friendly people i know, but when something that would only slightly annoy you or me occurs, he blows up and is ready to attack. E will -up your ability to conduct a normal, happy lifestyle if you arent careful.
All of my friends and I have discussed our observance of our close friends' behavior, and we have spoken with him about it. We have convinced him to tone down the drug use and party attendance to limit the damage. We watch him closely at parties. Sort of a little intervention of sorts.

RealJazz, perhaps this is what you should try.

personally drugs arent the problem. if there is a problem, its in the person. but beyond that you cannot act that drugs are beyond anyone or that no one isnt addicted. addiction is a mental state that people choose to bring upon themselves regardless of what it depends on. you can be addicted to anything and have it cause problems. drugs just have that added bonus of being physiologically addictive beyond just some psychological want for them. clearly this person is lacking something just now. im not saying that every person that uses or even every person that abuses is necessarily has a drug problem. as Spad says - as much as Slylee thinks its wrong - its part of growing up, and testing your limits. you will encounter these things and have to deal with them- but this is where the rest of your life factors in. HOW DO YOU DEAL? thats not an easy question- you certainly cant ing say that 'trance should be enough' thats not gonna cut it. its a cop out frankly. if you are worried about it, talk to the person, and FOLLOW UP! they wont be receptive at all- trust me...but if the effort is there they will appreciate it.

i know some particularly self destructive people and they grew up in pretty bad situations- yet highly different. you cant judge people by this tho, but you have to respect their choices. support/

survival of the fittest. and then there are some that destroy themself, making it easier for others to survive. to each their own.

disclaimer: the statements above do not in any way ridicule drug use. the first statement is simply a part of the existence theory that, well, maybe has been proven. the other statements are how i feel about some things sometimes.

bleh drugs..abusing of them IS The problem like biz said...
i personally completely dislike alcohol...trying to quit cigarettes and dont even use drugs often...
i dont think ill ever understand hardcore rollers that pop bout 5+ pills in one night....thats just stupid imho
but if that makes them happy whatever right...
as long as theyre not stupid and are passing out on the floor killing everyone else's mood its fine...if they want to abuse whatever not my prob...

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I GET A RUSH
{b.s.e.}
heh. there is nothing that amuses me more than seeing maaaashed out ravers/candy kids. usually it's the candy kids that amuse me the most, because really..c'mon. they're candy kids, for chrissake. they should be laughed at, "haha! hey poke-man! nice pikachu ears!" and so on and so forth.
anyways, i digress.

actually, i'd just be reiterating what biz and the bug have already said.. so i guess i'll just stick to the candy kid bashing. :p

Well if you didn't want to debate it why bother posting in the first place? Yet another example of you preaching a load of crap then shutting up when somebody bothers to point out the uselessness of your comments. Do you make it up as you go along?

she just needs to realize for herself that she doesn't need the drugs any more and THE DAMN MUSIC should get her high enuff!

Pushing your values about abstaining from using drugs will get you no where. The only thing one can attempt to get across is moderation which holds true for everything in life.
