REVIEW: Preach in Ottawa

Okay, it's Halloween weekend and I'm still traumatized by the two cowboys who had "Brokeback" and "Mountain" on the backs of their shirts.:p
Got to the bar at 11, Dj Etienne Osbourne laid down an opening set that was bumpin', seen him spin many times but with Preach in town, Ozzy was on fire and played filthier than I've ever heard him play before.
Preach lived up to his "Dancefloor Destroyer" moniker and I'm gonna pay for it tomorrow. The beats were absolutely dirty, gotta love his scratching on the decks too.. this man is still spinning as I write this, began his set around 130, so a three hour killer. I will not leave his set at any more Bal en Blancs, even if it's at 11 in the morning.
'Did see Oneeleven in all her splendor, no intro as I was looking for Tag, Robbiehead and his new buddy, All Nite Sweats - who's given Preach props in the past.. I can see why.
Preach and Etienne, 10/10
Club Heaven, you guys gotta do something about the sound system. 4/10. |

Ok Im destroyed.
I havent had fun like that in over a year and it was insane. Rum & Cokes like the guy from trailer park boys. Nice seeing Viktor, thanks for the drink I dont even remember you making it. Once Preach came on he pounded the out of Heaven and I was forced to dance all night and now my legs are broken. Didn't talk much because I couldnt hear , the sound system is very bad and when I walked out I was death for about an hour. The vibe at heaven was intense , Preach never gave us a chance to rest our legs. Amazing night everyone who didnt go missed something! |

I think Preach likes Ottawa better then Montreal cause this was one of the best sets ive ever seen him perform and better then F1 weekend by far! :p
Banging hard tunes the whole set, esp towards the end. Never stopped working. Dont know what happend but in the middle of his set a little trainwreck happend, too bad, but besides that Preach was 10/10
First time seeing Etienne Osbourne, for the most part he was good, droping some sick tunes and his mixing skill is good, but here and there would drop some old cheesy house, dont know, my impression, overall good dj 7/10
Heaven should really invest in a better sound system man oh man distortion coming from everywhere, 3/10...on the other hand impressed with the big screen they have.

All I gotta say is WOW, that night was just too insane. The last hour was just pure crazyness, the tracks that Preach was putting down were just dirrrty! I agree the sound system was pretty tho.
