So if the current poll holds true (ie if people buy the system they say)
Core system with one game
Xbox360 = 11 people at $350 and about 3,850 bucks
PS3 = 24 people at $550(ish) and about 13,200 bucks
Wii = 8 people at $300(ish) and about 2,400
ouch! |

The more I read about Zelda the more I want a wii. What really is funny that in my class there are a lot of used-to-be-gamers. Most of them stopped after PS1, N64 or PS2. But they all want a wii now.
XBOX360 is also getting better. Assasins Creed has huge potential and I really liked the trailers of Medal Of Honor. A lot of detail. Gears Of Wars also looks nice. However to be able to play Xbox360 or PS3 to the fullest you need an HD-tv and there's is no way I have that money or willing to pay that amount of money for something like gaming. |

Ya, HD TV makes a huge difference. I have a 42" Sony Bravia. very beautiful. |

You really think Sony went about this the right way? Charging an insane amount for a console they're losing record amounts of money on, creating what developers have called perhaps the most difficult console ever to program for, and losing some of the most important and lucrative exclusive contracts they had solely because they're console costs to much to develop for?
Yeah, that's a brilliant way to launch just about any product. |

We'll just see how many of those stay solely "PS3 Titles."
The dominoes are already falling man - Assasin's Creed moving cross platform was a HUGE blow to Sony, and with Rockstar already hinting (read: announcing) that next gen GTA will be cross platform, it's looking like people are going to have fewer and fewer reasons to fork out 3/4 of a grand for a gaming machine.
MGS4 isn't worth $700 - No game is. |
