it's unlikely that the jeweller will cop to anything less-than-stellar in his/her procurement of the diamonds; better to research it yourself.
i bought my girl a untreated/unheated sapphire after finding a company who'd earned commendations by watchdog groups for their use of humane mine labor (as humane as these things can get, in any regard).
and yes, synthetic diamonds are getting to the point where only highly trained eyes or machinery can discern a difference. |

if it is certified (like it should be- example GIA) it will tell you where the diamond is from. go to a reputable wholesaler or jeweller. i went thru this last year and if you do your homework it will work out. |
