My Monster Massive Review

My quick review/rants. *be warned*

My night was something like this. 5 of us left temecula at around 6 expecting to get to the arena at 8:30 to meet up with everyone. We got lost due to bad directions, didnt get in until about 11:00 or so. We went in and tried to find the vip lounge place to get our "free" drinks. Waited in line for 45 minutes and the guy said i needed a different wrist band to get drinks, even though he gave me friend 2 drinks in front of me due to a 2 dollar tip. This guy was on heavy drugs mind you due to the fact that his eyes were swollen and red, and he wasnt acting normal. Another 30 minutes to do the quest of the second white wristband, and finally another long ass wait in line to have a second go at getting drinks. Im pretty certain we heard the end of marcus while we were running about which was pretty good from what I could hear. In line for drinks we almost got into 2 fights the first time, I don't even know why some jerks were grabbing my girlfriend behind us so we took care of it. Then some other random guy started touching her and my big friend almost knocked his teeth out which I had to settle again so they wouldnt kill eachother. Then some guy grabbed some other girl in line blatantly infront of her boyfriend and I decided to try to get him to stop, and the boyfriend was too jacked up to know what was going on and hit me in the face almost knocking my teath out. After all of this I decided we should probably go to the front near the stage and stay away from the 90% of people who just came to get jacked up. We danced for a good hour or so enjoying it then I went back for more drinks and by this time my vodka/ice drinks were hitting me hard so I was finally feeling good. I took off and hung out with another friend we listened to the van buuren set and pvd set which was pretty good, nothing special to me.

All in all I think that the event was not planned well at all. Everything was organised horribly and finding the places to get the second wrist band was hard as hell. Infact we asked 3 different even staff and they all told us wrong information. The bar tender guy was a complete dick, wouldnt give us water even though we had vip and the guy would pick and choose who to serve based on the tip in the persons hand. Don't get me wrong I had an awesome night thanks to my great friends that came with me but if i were to go by myself and deal with all of these event staff, and kids who dont even know what trance is. I mean I was behind the stage and marcus shultz was standing next to everyone and I was the only one who noticed who he was. I decided not to bother him with pictures but my friend did, which marcus got mad and left because people started surrounding him after they saw he was someone "famous".

I don't know why but I really don't like the socal "vibe" as you call it. Why is it everyone is trying to out do eachother. Infact why is it everyone needs pictures with a "famous" person so they can show off when in reality that person does not even want to be in the photo a lot of the time. Im just ranting now because I was dissapointed by the event in a whole. I paid an extra 25 dollars to get treated like complete by the staff. Also those cabana things they added at the last minute looked just as that, a bed sheet and some cheap chairs. Is this not just completely commercialized crap. I've been to quite a few other countries mainly in europe and in clubs was not treated so bad usually by people in general. I will say that I met a few people who were nice, but most were off the deep end. I don't know what these kiddies eat now adays but they need to lay off of it.

Anyways I was just mad overall because people are just so disrespectfull now adays and grabbing my girlfreiends butt from behind us, being multiple people and such is just ridiculous. Lucky for us we have the small percentage who mostly reside on this message board who love the music, and keep things real. Next time hopefully I can meet up with you guys and hang out with some adults with maturity.

*End Rant*

I got there around 11:45pm and the line to park was ridiculous. Then i saw the line to get in. Then i saw kids honking their horns, sticking their heads out the window, yelling/screaming. And i got out of there. Too kiddy for me. I'll stick to avalon once they finally have a decent act there.

It should be expected. Events of such magnitude attract what many consider the "wrong crowd". You can't possibly expect most of the people to be there just for the music, specially the younger kids who attend these events just because they can't get in a club.

It's a big event so the chances of having to stand dicks is more likely, compared to a small event at club level, even if those dicks happen to be members of the staff. Don't be surprised.

It's a pity you had to experience this. In small and big events, it's the same. Just brush it off.

Amen! couldn't have said it better myself, I have no idea how many fights I witness last night, and the fact they ran outta water at an EDM event? wow!

well you went to an ALL-AGES trance massive in la, i dunno what you were expecting... although i know what it's like to be lured into a massive by a great line up and show up to be disappointed by virtually everything else.

can anyone name me the last 5 songs judge jules played?

there was a song in the neat end that he played was just kickass. it was a hard song and had a really weird sound effect to it.
