Maybe you need it in layman's terms...what makes you think cyberspace is any less real than "reality"?

I agree the internet is a form of reality, but I prefer 'real life' where you meet and socialize with people in the flesh. I've always found it more interesting and I get along with people better that way.
I'm still trying to 'fit in' on the internet but apparently some of you don't like my persona. It might be because I'm still a n00b with the whole thing. I dunno. |

The internet is just another way to communicate, like the phone or by letters. "In real life" isn't what you want to say, you mean to say you prefer "face to face" communication as opposed to message board communication (which you did kind of say, I skimmed through your post).
When people receive threatening or offensive letters in the mail, they don't say "It's just the mail". So we can't do the same for the internet.
I used to get caught up in the whole "It's just the internet" way of thinking, but then I realized how foolish that was. Real people with real feelings sit behind their computer screens every day. The internet is definitely real (which I find hilarious). :wtf:
But in all honesty, I fall back on the "Relax, it's only the internet" argument if I go too far sometimes in the hopes of not getting banned. :D |

Yeah that's what I meant. The only difference would be if I knew someone for a long time (in the flesh) and then had a dispute over the internet or MSN with them, then I would take it more personally. |

I think thats complete BS. Why?
The local forums are local forums, people still have fun, and make jokes, but its a close knit group of the same people with a few stray's here and there.
The c0r, I GUARANTEE, you gather any 10-15 people from the c0r, at any given time, place, city, state, country, planet - we will act, say, do EVERYTHING as it is seen on the forums, and it will be thousands of times funnier. |
