| it was a let down to not experience the costume contest, i'm not sure, but its a possibility that the moron who got arrested had something to do with it. it was still a fun time with all the people in costume! |

Sorry about that.
We really wanted to do it but there was a little drama between a spaceman and an alien which had to be dealt with. Unfortunaltly, it kept us busy during the time we were going to do the contest. I apologize for not getting that done. There were some really good costumes there and we were really looking forward to having this go down.
Money Penny, let me know the next time your coming out to Hush. I will buy you a bottle of whatever you want and get you a table for all of your friends who came with you that night. :)

Midtown club destroyed by fire

One firefighter suffered minor burns Monday morning battling a blaze that destroyed a Midtown nightclub.
The fire was reported about 5:30 a.m. at the Hush VIP Lounge on 12th Street, said Atlanta fire Capt. Byron Kennedy.
Kennedy said flames were already shooting through the roof of the building when the first of about 40 firefighters arrived.
Fire crews initially reported low water pressure, but Kennedy said the water department was able to reroute water and boost pressure in the area.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for burns on his hand, Kennedy said.
The blaze was brought under control about 7:45 a.m., and firefighters were still pouring water on hot spots at 8:15. The cause of the blaze has not been determined, Kennedy said.
Traffic in the area was snarled as fire crews shut down a block of 12th Street between Crescent Avenue and Peachtree Walk.
