PS2 vs. PS2 Slim

As far as modding it goes, is the slim more problematic because of it's smaller size or a better bet for modding because it's a newer version of the PS2?
I just want to find a used one, mod it and stick this case on it.

Not in that colour but with a clear case. Not as badass as the blue one though.

The closest to brown is the darker red one.

There must be a wood panelling edition out there somewhere :haha: to match the buik. |

Lots of cooling problems for the slim ps2 from what I know. I've seen instances where systems are bypassed so that you can play the game while the tray is open to allow more air circulation.
I'd stick with the 'normal' ps2 if you're modding.
I've had mine modded for years and it still works fine, albeit I barely play it ever now. |

I had the orginal ps2 with the first chip ...
then i got the slim one, and modded that ... and yep there is some cooling issues. They can add a fan to the top of the system, but that makes it look like crap so I decide to deal with the cooling issue. Dont really sit there an play it for hours and hours so ah it doesn't really bother me. |
