Well a lot of the times it has that "dark" feel of Batman/Punisher but there's a fair amount of cheesy drama a la Smallville.
I'd still recommend you give it a chance though. It's quality .

Meh. It just screams "X-Men: The Beginning" to me, and unfortunately that's been the main deterrent for watching it.
