I have this track called York - On the beach...I think it's from a Judge Jules/Tall Paul compilation...but I was wondering who this is, do they have any other wicked tracks..If you haven't heard it check it out...it's really good.

Also, I was wondering why is songwriting called "producing" when it comes to electronic music? I'm curious about producing..like what is involved..equipment etc.. and what dj's produce alot of their own and stuff like that..can anybody fill me in or at least lead me to a resource where I can find out?

Thanks, Peace

PS..what are people's opinions on Billy Nasty..he has some pretty bumpin tracks..listening to him right now:eyes: :D :D :D

Songwriting? I guess you could call it songwriting if there are lyrics in the track, but producing is a better word.

in most electronic music its called production cause its mostly done by one preson, so him/her realy is the soundenginere, songwrighter, aranger, musical director, composer, mixer and master of there own work.

On the Beach is originally written by pop/rock artist Chris Rea, so York (Jörg Stenzel & Torsten Stenzel) can't be the actual songwriter of this track. They just reproduced it.
Try these York trax:
York - O.T.B. (On The Beach) (CRW remix) 6:35
Watermen meets Chris Rea - Your Love Is Setting Me Free (York remix) 8:46
York feat. Ayla - Cover Me (original mix) 6:41
ATB feat. York - The Fields of Love (York remix) 7:25
DJ Mikey Mike
yes mate try

York - Awakening

its old, but then so is OTB. Sigh. i miss the good old days

the best tune by York is Reachers of civilization. It also has a great Push remix and a Rank 1 remix
