Two days later and still no review?
Well, I guess I will start one.
We got there after not being able to get into The Drink earlier in the night. Got in without any line up at 3 or was it 4 (confusing with the time change). I was expecting a bit more decorations for Halloween but I think all the people that were dressed up made up for it. There were actually more people inside then I expected but there was enough room to get around.
We were expecting Nevio to open but to our surprise there was an unknown on the decks. Asked Carey later who it was but forgot what he said. Stephan played well, nothing exeptional but I was also tired from two previous nights. Stayed until 8 or 9, lol. Fun times over all.
Demi will be a treat.
Anyways, lots of good costumes and fun times. |

Agreed, very very enjoyable although not cataclysmic like Romero or C&C, still lots of fun and a good, happy, dressed-up crowd (the gayest I have ever seen it by far). |

| I was just about to ask why there was no review for this event. You read my mind Margs. Apparently Stephan played alot of circuit stuff..can anyone confirm this? |

Geoff Kelleway (i believe).
I agree about Grondin - he was good, but really didn't do it for me as much as his last visit. I think he was playing to the crowd more so than playing to his own sound. Regardless, technically brilliant - and had the place rocking until the early morning.
Lots of good costumes, the best being the four mentioned below.....
Daniel - as 'Ugly Betty'
Margaret & RJ (pictures available in the costumed thread)
Some dude - as Michael Jackson (in Thriller) - REALLY good.
Definately was more of an 'Open' - Friday crowd |

Bahahaha.... and I was mistaken for a tranny a few times - I saw the guys make a beeline for me then realize that the breastages were real and take a sharp detour! |

I didn't find he played that much circuit. lol.
He played a brand new mix of "sexy back" (a more tribal version). He also played the new mix of Madonna - Jump. I believe there is only one remix of that so far and it's the JLC mix. |

| I had a really good time with my friends, but other than that, big thumbs down from me. The crowd was mostly a circuit crowd, meaning that barely anyone was dancing, and there were no girls. Grondin played a set with waaaaay too many circuit tunes. I know he was playing to the crowd though. He tried to play harder tunes, but the crowd just wasn't having any of it. I knew I had had enough when I heard "Say Yes" at about 7am. I don't think I'll bother seeing Grondin at Sonic again considering the crowd that goes out to see him. |
