Laptop to Mixer Setup , Help !

Hey I wanted to ask if anybody know how could I hook up a regular laptop to a DENON DN-X500 4 Channel 19" Mixer ?.
I have a external sound card could I use it ?, I been trying to look online but I cant find nothing , thats why im asking up on TA . If any one could help I would be really greatfull. Thanks

| I've got the DNX-900 mixer. It is probally close to what you got. I go from the mixer into a M-Audio Firewire external soundcard. What kind of sondcard do you have? You should be able to just go from the record out on the back of your mixer into the sound card (depending on what kind it is), and then from your sound card into your laptop thru a USB or firewire cable. Should be as simple as that. If not post again and I will try to help you out. |

| You'll want to run the line output of the soundcard to a line input on your mixer. So you'll need the appropriate RCA cable/adaptor and just connect the two. |
