not to many ta's showed up for this but i think something needs to be said.
sketchbag and i really wanted to go to this thing but couldnt get a ride from K-hole until last minute. fortunatly bourgoise came up with the idea that he would drive to zone if peter would bust a move on the zone floor WEARING ONLY A SPEEDO! for those of you that dont know peter, he's 6 feet 7 inches of swinging, lanky-limbed, polish pastiness. solid. gold. this was by far one of the funniest things i have ever seen.
anyway.. the party was f*ckin awsome, cut a rug the size of texas.. solid, bangin' beats all night... this was my 3rd time at zone and by far the least sketchy, but still more so than any other bar. we got to zone at 9:30p ish and stayed till 3:30a. thoroughly enjoyed all the sets especially dekozes. started to get pretty tired during sydney blu's set and had to drag the other two off the floor.

I had a so-so time mostly because I haven't recovered fully from Sunday and I was tired from working. Thank you everyone for the compliments for the decor, but it wasn't a challenge really to but some caution tape and webbing (apologies to everyone, instructed to do it)everywhere...but it def. is funny to see that place with the lights on.
I personally think Dekoze didn't really kick my ass as he usually does but no one really did anyway. I probably say the Junkies and Sydney were the best sets.
Nice to talk breaks with you Lopi even though I heard you hardly, and nice to meet anyone other ppl who's name I can't remember.

Zone started slow, but picked up really well towards 11 pm or so and after that was top notch.
Vinyl Junkies started, followed by J Prez, Manzone and Strong, Deko-ze (who was dressed in his finest halloween digs, police uniform with leather strap shirt and chaps underneath)and Sydney Blu, who had one sexy little number on herself.
Manzone and Strong probably had the best set of the night, I liked Deko-ze's as well.
Crowd was really good in the zone last night, everyone was just there to have a good time, less sketchy than normal, but of course there were still some of the fan favourites in attendance.
Peter does take the award for being the first TA to dance on the zone property in only a speedo, i do give him credit, however that is not something I would recommend, as it could lead to unwanted attention from wingwearing individuals.
Nice meeting some new people on the patio, although I cannot remember your names(sorry). That is probably the first conversation I've ever had out there that had any degree of normalcy to it, got to love that patio.

| the things i do for a ride to toronot, i saw it as taking one for the team but in the end it was the funnies thing i have ever done party boy form jackass best halloween costume EVER!! Last night was too much fun ! i loved everyones set's especialy deko-ze .. cuz he played my fav track at my request:) great seeing everyone! sean casidy is still my hero! |

What a great way to spend Halloween. I didn't think it would be as packed as it was, nor did I think people would be too up for partying since it was a Tuesday, but was I ever wrong. I kept saying how you would never be able to tell it was a week day party.
Highlights of the night:
- Manzone & Strong's set. "Help Me" ftw! (I can't remember the artist, but it's an older Deep Dish tune)
- Winged individuals
- Extremely hot costumes :eyes:
- Superman & The Flash (on G++) "battling" on the CoZo patio (this is one of the best things I've ever seen at Zone)
- Peter running around CoZo in a speedo
- The "G"rim Reaper
- The decorations (good job Frank!)
This event was very well done! I will definately check it out again next year if it's being done again. |
