| I got my permit in April of 2003, and didn't get a license until November of 2004. I drove to school everyday without a license. All you got to do is drive with traffic, and you'll never have to worry about the coppers. |

I got quoted £3,500 for insurnece on a 1.6 focus.. So i dont think ill even bother driving... Too costly for someone of my age in this country |
I used to sell car insurance so heres some tips for you.
Best thing to do with the insurance is get a car with a smaller engine like a 1.2 Corsa or Clio...look for something thats no higher than Group 4.
In Mainland Britain alot of insurance companies don't like to insure people Northern Ireland because of past troubles, and the ones that do insure over there are very pricey. Best companies to try would be Endsleigh insurance and Quinn Direct. Trust me, try these two!
If you do an online quote just to get a rought idea then enter in a false telephone number. I was forever calling up 17 year olds that have enterered info online for a quote on a Subaru Imprezza
Lastly....and this WILL SAVE YOU MONEY! When you tell the insurance company the estimated value of the car rather than saying £5,000...say £4995. Insurance advisors have to by law enter in whatever information you give them. By doing this It falls into a different catagory and can knock a fair bit off the premium. This will also work for the question "Whats your estimated annual millage"...rather than 10000 miles say 9995 miles :) |

Well if your talking abt not having your licence on you, im guilty almost all the time. If i get pulled over i just tell him i dont have it on me, i show the cop my State ID, he checks to see if my licence is valid & im on my way. But i have had my licence suspended numerous times. Most of the time i was lucky & it was a City of Chicago cop & i got away with it or i just dont drive like an idiot to get pulled over. |

was your car insured or not? i mean you can't really insure your car without your license...so you were actually risking big time, right? |

i have done it omce down the road and numerous times parking in a garage. i had my permit at the time.
good thing about it is that i don't speed, so i had less of a reason to be pulled over anyhow. |
