REVIEW: Eddie Halliwell @ On Broadway

so i get ready and get picked up at 8 by mike. we get on the road and get to on broadway at about 945 or 10ish. theres a huge line but we go to the front door and find where the guest list and presale lines are. mike, josh, and jess are waiting for guest list while me and neinerlove just breeze right in with presale.
we get in and its nice and cool in there and we make our way to the bathroom. then up stairs to the room where eddie will be. some guy was on and then about 20minutes or so later cowboy mike gets on. he puts on a good set.
1130 rolls around and eddie gets on. he really kills it from beginning to end. it wasnt super crowded at all. the number of people was perfect. most people were dressed up. most of the people were nice but there were a few wackos but not enough to get annoying or anything. we all had a great time and really liked it. was nice not to have to drive for once! didnt have a camera so no pics. sorry! |

I had a great time last night except for one thing - the lines! My friends and I had bought tickets online way ahead of time. We arrived around 10:15-10:30ish (doors opened at 9:30) and there was a line that went around 2 corners of the block. I ask the people in front of us if they had presales and they told us yes, and that the bouncer had pointed them to this line. 20 minutes later, another bouncer yells that everyone's in the wrong line. I ask him which line to get into then he points us to another. 15 minutes in THAT line and we get pointed to another... After THAT one he tells us that they've reached capacity and we have to go back into the same line we STARTED in. I was like screw that and I told him that we've been waiting forever and already lost our place in line and he was kind enough to bring us to the front and let us in. Finally made it inside around 11:30ish.
After we got in we had a blast. We only waited about 30 minutes and Eddie came on. He didn't seem so enthusiastic at first but quickly turned up the pace. We were up front the whole time and I must say, his crowd interaction is top notch. Heh there were a ton of people smashed outta their minds but what you you expect on Halloween. :p Vibe was pretty cool, there weren't as many pushy people as the last time I went. All in all, I had a great time. The only other downer was I think they made him finish a bit early, around 1:45 or so. |

I'm glad somebody had fun because my night was a disaster....:( My friend and I never even got in eventhough we were on Eddie's list. The bouncers just made us run back and forth between the two entrances :mad: I'm not gonna go into more details because I get so pissed off just by thinking about the whole thing. Eventvibe will definitely get a nice little letter from me and I seriously doubt I'll ever attend another one of their events or On Broadway for that matter...

So sorry to hear that. Totally sucks.
Everytime I try the "guestlist" line thing at On Broadway it turns out to be a disaster. I have come to the conclusion that it's not worth the extra $10 cover savings by waiting in a slow moving line forever. |

I've been on the list before for Polka Dot events at On Broadway and never had any problems but this time even the bouncers were jerks. Or maybe I'm just spoiled with the Circus and Arena security who are the nicest in the world! |

to be honest we ALMOST got told to go to the end of some long ass line. but then i saw some dude with a clipboard and he said he had the presales. so we just walked in. |

Definately a fun night! Getting there was somewhat a pain, but once we got going it was a breeze! TA ARMADA TO THE RESCUE!!:toocool:Getting in was easy, thank god for pre sales!! Once inside and a quick look around, the hip hop room was JAM PACKED!!:nervous: Then I realized my zipper on my boot broke.. wonderful:whip: ..
Went up to the main room and caught Cowboy Mike. :)
Then Eddie came on... always tears it up!! He was amazing... somewhat a showoff at the end...but I guess thats why we like him.... all his trickery!
Im a lame ass and forgot to take in my camera...so there are no pictures other then the ones from eventvibe.. :(
His brother(Simon) remembered me from Miami and got a poster signed for me...THANK YOU!!:tongue2
I had a good time.. it wasn't jam packed .. thank god cuz my costume had wings... which would normally be a party foul!
