when you say you want something with "fluctuating bass lines instead of the standard kick drum over and over" the first thing that comes to my mind is minimal house. something like:

http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF239570-01-02-01.mp3

http://www.juno.co.uk/products/239570-01.htm

that record has the lowest frequencies ive ever heard from a record. i actually have to put more weight on the needle because the wavy grooves make the needle skip.

Definitley psy. Techno is also very bassy.

if it's bass you want here you go:

stream: click here

mp3 download: click here

the first track will shake your car to pieces, as will many of the rest.

You're better off with electro, french house, bassline heavy prog, breaks if you want big bad ass basslines.

Tip of the day:

MFG - New Kind Of World

For me it's one of the most classic and most totally insane goa-trance tracks ever produced. Probably MFG's best.

You can't dance to a melody.

well, at 8am theres substance to it :)

for trance/techno this comes to mind:

http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF121112-01-01-01.mp3
http://www.juno.co.uk/products/121112-01.htm

the sample cuts out the best part, the beginning, it has this awesome rumbling evil sounding bass.

sorry no samples but search for:

renato cohen - pontape
passive resistance - praiseworthy tunes

i dunno im just spitting stuff out off the top of my head. theres so many styles. usually in a trance set, when you want bass you drop a darker sounding, driving techno track.

edit: forgot to mention, there are songs out there at first listen they dont seem like they have low bass, or they seem like a standard kick drum pattern. what i find amazing, is some songs you have to turn up so incredibly loud, that only then, you hear underlying elements that are just recorded at a very low quiet level, and the only way to reveal them is crank the fuk out of your stereo. suddenly, the standard boom boom boom, becomes: boom rumble rubmble boom rumble boom boom rumble, just a real chaotic energy. also, some producers take high volume distortion into account when designing their track, where the typical distortion heard on big systems change the track into sounding something different/better.

yea right! what about soccer chants? its just a melody, but they all jump up and down to it. like that one: olay, olay olay olay ... olay ... olay

or the melody of zombie nation, that gets chanted at soccer games too.

I fail to see how you equate a football crowd chanting and jumping with dancing.
