Why is trance no where near as good as it used to be?
Trance used to be amazin, i could sit for hours and hours listening to it and in some cases repeat some tracks over and over again but now i just cant do that.
It doesnt give me the buzz that it used to.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Cheers. |

| Do you think itīs because of you or because of the music? |

Personally I think its because of the music.
The new stuff sound soo different from say, 3-4 year ago. It seems more high pitched and alot of them are borderline cheesy.
And alot of vocals have popped up IMHO and 9/10 vocals write off a track. |

That's often because many good, great trancers even, start out as instrumentals and to boost sales poppy vocals about various long lost love and such nonsense are added into them later on. In most cases the vocals don't work at all and just put you off from the track because they weren't supposed to be there in the first place. :whip: |

| Well, to be precise, most of todays trance production does not need cheesy vocals to become . It even managed to go downhill instrumental-wise. |

| Yeah and that's why i hardly ever listen to "new" trance.. besides some very few exceptions. |

Lots of people have this problem and lots don't.
It's an endless debate. Trance is not dead and to many people it is better than it was before. Your tastes have changed, nothing more :) |

Lol that makes no sense to me.
How have my tastes have changed if i still like the old stuff?
I could under stand your post if i said that the new stuff is far better than the old stuff, my tastes would have changed then. But i still like the old stuff, so I would say that its the music that has changed. |

Music has changed.
It has become that generic ASOT-stuff :whip: |

| Without going into a flame, I agree it's the music that's changed, although for me, it's my taste as well. I hardly listen to new trance these days. I'm more drawn into indie, punk, soundtrack and alternative. :thepirate |
