Hello. Does anyone know the sum that Mauro Picotto takes for a "usual" gig? I suppose it is around 10 000 EUR but how much exactly?
Oh, and don't recommend me to contact agent etc. because I have not recieved a reply... |

i dont know how you expect any of us to know.
also what do you mean by 'usual gig' djs charge different prices depends on where there playing prices can vary greatly. if he plays at a festival he will charge 5 times than a small club would pay. and its about exposure aswell some djs will refuse to play at nights because its either not big enough or just not well known. |

| It sounds like you have little experience in the field of booking DJs. That is more than likely why his agent has not responded to you, and until you can build a name for yourself it will be tough trying to book big-named DJs. |

DJ fees for residencies are a whole other ball game because the DJ has the club's marketing muscle behind him consistently in one market, and there's real value in that. Finally, in Ibiza, certain high-profile clubs (like Space) do not pay DJs their typical fees because (i) DJ sets are typically only 2-3 hours long; and (ii) there is a prestige factor to spinning there).
On a separate note, it's really stupid to measure a DJ's fee as a percentage of how many records he spins in a night or per hour. It takes these guys many many years to achieve what they have, develop their skills, become knowledgeable, not to mention the brutal travel schedule. That's all I have to say on this subject, people.

When you e-mail his booking agent are you doing it from a hotmail or yahoo account (or something similar)
If so the likleyhood is he won't reply, most booking agents wouldn't.
You need a proper e-mail address (like a business e-mail or one which would look professional) to be taken at least seriously, their not going to just give out mauro's fee to anyone, and they wouldn't expect promoters who have booked him to give it out either. |

I don't know how much DJ's usually gets payed for a gig, but I watched a show called "The Club" which was about Club Ice in Las Vegas like last year.
Gatecrasher's founder/owner named Neil something said that they could pay DJ's like $500 for a gig if they're amateurs and trying to make their way up. But they can also get like $25.000 for a gig aswell, That's if they're well known and play at the biggest venues.
Not sure if he was talking a lot of bull, but isn't it like that? |
