Fergie: Super or Shite?

Okay, I know the title thread looks cheesy but it seems like there's a distinct split in the 2 camps, so I just wanna confirm opinions once and for all.
One of the earlier threads from a few days ago was devoted to Fergie and his mastery in mixing and his ability to work the crowd- almost everyone here agreed then that he's one to watch out for in the future. Over at the Gatecrasher forum, a random poll was conducted to gather opinion on who was thought to be the most overrated DJ in the trance circuit. No prizes for guessing who came up tops- by a mile.
Is Fergie e? Or do the Crasher kids deserve a smack up their ass? |

| well im a crasher kid in training personally i went to see fergie with an open mind, and i had an amazing night. thing is he is overrated, but it was quality, because everythign he played was bangin as , and the crowd was mad (even though it was a sumwhat fergiefanful crowd) but id never listen to most fo what he plays at home, but i still like to see him live, in fact he wil be at judgement sunday in 10 day and i cant wait, mind you ferry's there too :) |

| Got to talk to him and Tim Lyall (sp?) when they were in calgary, real cool guys. Fergie that night played his esential mix and just had the whole crowd goin. His production skills are great too, if u like hard house. Soon I hope, with the kind of tunes hes playing now, may be getting into some Hard Banging Trancy tunes and that would be a treat for us as he is a very good producer. Not alot of people were discovered so young by HARD HOUSE GOD Tony De Vit. Enough said. |

Fergie is strange...I was @ that show with Tim lyall and Fergie in Calgary(slinky tour, really cool)
but he played soo soo sooo hard!!!! Was much harder than I expected (I didnt know who fergie was, thought it would be like sliky CDs) the next day I went to DL a fergie set, and his Jan 14 01 EM is still one of my favs!!!
so...Hes got crazy madd assed skills, but can either turn you on or off. Were I to get a chance to see him again, Id do it in a second, I appreciate it more now |

ppl dont like him that much on the GC forums because his name is blackened by hard house still... i dont think they realise he's turning into hard trance (just like a lot of HH dj's are now)
ive seen him play blinding sets and i like him.
it really makes me laff to see all these HH dj's starting to play what they call 'funky hard house'... funky hard house my arse its hard trance u twats! |

| Well i just saw him at Two Tribes in Melbourne (10th of March) and he was fantastic. Got the crowd pumped with his hard trance tunes, and definately got everyone in the mood for Tiesto. I give him 9.5/10 for his performance that night. |

Fegie Fergie Fergie.
Give the guy credit. He is good at working up the crowds and playing what has to be played to keep the dancefloor banging. Everyone on this earth has there own tastes and there own opinons , its not fair to mock someone just because you don't like there taste. Fergie Is a little overated, but just think who has rated him in the first place. |
