First of all, thanks to BRIAN for hooking us up on the guest list. We got in for $1 and got VIP, couldn't be happier!! Thank you VERY MUCH BRIAN.
Sorry, I don't have any pics. Brian got the entire show on video so hopefully he'll post some vids.
Suzy Solar was so incredible tonight. She showed us that DJ popularity or rank in some ing DJ MAG means NOTHING. I haven't heard a better set @ Amp EVER. My girl and I had an absolute blast. Suzy played some of the freshest tunes I've ever heard. The entire night was ID - ID with some tracks that I heard but couldn't ID.
Thank you Suzy for an INCREDIBLE show. I will never forget your amazing performance. I hope you enjoyed the crowd as much as we enjoyed you.
Next time ya'll come to Ybor, please come to our place which is 2 blocks from Amp.
Sorry for the weak ass review with no pics and no ID's. Never the less, Suzy deserved a review thread.
Hope you Miami kids had fun @ Sander K.
Thanks again to Brian for hooking us up on Suzy's personal guest list. Nice to meet you Brian. Sorry I didn't meet any other TA's. Next time the pregame/afterparty is @ my place.
CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!

I def agree. Big thanks to Brian for the backstage treatment. That was a point of view of Amp I have not had before. The night was a blast. Only few mishaps to me (VERY small ones) were the night was called "Tribute To Trance" but only Suzy and a tiny portion of Mondo's sets were real trance. The rest was booty BS breaks. I'm not dissing breaks as I like them at times, but when the them is trance you would think breaks would not be played in a large abundance, and also some drunken blondie got some of us kicked off stage for a sec for dancing in front of the Amp dancers. No biggies though (I made my way back up to the stage thanks to the flashlight signal haha). Suzy opened with Matt Darey pres Lil Kwon - Point Zero (2004 Mix)...OMG set the place off. Other tracks I remember were...Chakra-Love Shines Through(Danjo & Styles Mix), Superti-Southek, Suzy Solar vs. Arizona-Samaruai, Guiseppe Ottaviani-Through Your Eyes(Thomas Bronzwaer Mix), 4 Strings-Mainline(4 Turntables Mix), and Interstate-Remember Me(Terry Bones Mix). All in all well worth going. Thanks agian Suzy and Brian as well as the new people I met onstage, always a pleasure.

up ..up..up.
I think i burnt out within the first hour.
I also like the way she sways and floats her hands as if she were dancing. Reminds me of one of my Yoga instructor back in India.
It's true - Kidd Leow kept playing breaks stuff. I can almost hear the Amps excuse "we needed to pull the crowd in".
In fact, it didn't seem like TTT night until quite late.
Picture? here is one from my camera.

bdr222 & dark angel - i will definietly bring 'the red arrow' and thomas' remix of 'through your eyes' at area 51 on the 17th! cant wait to see you two there;-)
Indus Creed - thanks! i'm glad you enjoyed the show. wait til you see you my dancing on my new music video i'm shooting for 'ocean of love.' (yes, its finally signed with 3 new remixes coming:-)) when i'm behind the decks, i dont get to do the full on dancing i do. i took ballet and won various dance & thespian contests. i created my own style and need a lot of room to move around to get the full effect.

yes for sure:-) so far, all i know is that my agent is flying me to vancouver on the 25th for the filming, and the video is scheduled to be ready by mid-december. the video producer is cool; he's into trance, clubbing, and psychedelic art so i think it's going to turn out good. so far, we've been on the same page with collaborating on the creative aspect. i used to produce and host my own music video tv show in the 90s so i've been harboring lots of ideas for a long time;-) my only concern is praying that the label doesnt make me do something cheesy:-(
i forgot to mention something about 'the red arrow.' it's still not 100% finished, so by the time i play it in miami it will be updated. it was ready enough to try out on the amp's sound system yesterday, which i'm glad i did because i noticed a couple of things that i'm going to change. i'm also adding vocals sometime soon, probably after the vancouver trip. wish me luck; it's the first track that i've attempted to do on my own;-) |
