Ok I missed the pre-order boat... are there places in the city that will be offering these consoles on a first-come, first-serve basis on the 17th and 19th, respectively?

Best Buy & Sony Style don't do pre-orders....
Most units will be shipped to places that do not do pre-orders because Sony knows those units are basically sold. So it allows them to sell their units to places that don't do preorders so they could sell theoretically twice as much. |

I believe Best Buy, Toys R Us, and the Nintendo store will be having line ups/first come first serve. For all other stores, there will be pre-orders for the 2nd wave of shipments starting a week or two after the initial release so just keep an eye out.
I think I pretty much gave up getting a PS3 this year. Not sure if a PS3 is worth me lining up for since I'd just have to go through the trouble of trying to sell it for double price before the holidays. Too much work. I'll probably try to secure a Wii myself so I can give it to my younger brothers for x-mas. |

| so far 60+ games announced for Wii. I like PS3's graphics, but this is tough battle. Fun vs GFX. What would you go for? |
