Robo-calling? Are you ing kidding me? For those of you who haven't watched the news, what started out in New Hampshire has now spread to other states including my state of Kansas. Essentially a little punk-ass calls up, initially pretends to be a Democrat, then proceeds to either intimidate the out of the person they're calling or bash the crap out of the Democratic candidate in question.

When you hang up on the person, that's not the end - they call back and do it again. And again. And again. And continue to do so thereby harassing the out of the caller and essentially trying to get them so turned off to vote tomorrow. Here's some more details:

New Hampshire:

Connecticut:

New York

Then it hit Philly:

Then they came after my Democratic candidate here in Kansas:

Then came New Jersey:

Virginia:

Now Washington state:

Unbelievable fraud. I really didn't think you guys were capable of such ridiculous bull. And BTW - your party admits to it and is fully responsible for these actions. If this doesn't call for a ing FBI investigation, I really don't know what will.

How can you Bush supporters not be completely disappointed and disgusted by your party's actions here? You support fraudulent, harassing behavior?

I'm not a democrat, but the reason he doesn't mention "pranks from the democrats" is because they're not the ones excessively engaging in blatantly unethical and illegal activities.

+1. I'm having a hard time thinking what line they haven't crossed yet.

In some states and/or districts, yes. There's the notion that you can buy off the poor's votes with booze. Utah is one such state. Another is Oklahoma, but it's up for referendum this year:
quote:
STATE QUESTION NO. 733
LEGISLATIVE REFERENDUM NO. 341
This measure amends the Oklahoma Constitution. It amends Article 28. This Article deals with sales of alcoholic beverages. Section 6 of Article 28 bans the sale of alcoholic beverages by package stores on certain days. Package store sales of these beverages are prohibited on election days while the polls are open. This measure would remove the ban on sales on election days. If this measure passes, package stores could sell alcoholic beverages on election days.
SHALL THE PROPOSAL BE APPROVED?
FOR THE PROPOSAL - YES
AGAINST THE PROPOSAL - NO

I recieved a call from Slick Willie yesterday telling me to vote dem. It was quite a stir, there was I was watching TV and my phone rings, the number that came up in the caller ID was 800000000, and when I spoke "hello" Clinton started to talk about the importance of voting and to vote Dem.

Made me happy for about 15secs.
