GameTap is a subscription-based video game service by Turner Broadcasting System (TBS). Dubbed by TBS as a "broadband gaming network", the service provides subscribers with the ability to play hundreds of classic arcade and computer and video games and view game-related video content for a flat monthly fee of US$9.95.
GameTap launched with over 300 games and this number has since grown to over 700. New games are added weekly. Subscribers have access to the entire library; there is no per-game fee. Games cannot be purchased, and are automatically deactivated when the user unsubscribes from the service. Games can be installed on any number of computers.
I'm now getting my fill of all my old classic NES, SuperNES, Sega Genesis and Commodore 64 games! Wooooooooo!
BTW - Enter “ncta” in the coupon and promo code field during registration to get a free one-month trial! The code is good until January 31, 2007 or Time Warner removes it. |

| I'm tempted to try this since I got all into 'old games 'mode' yet again in this thread - but - I'll hold out for a free trial. :) |

I get the $9.95 US Special Offer / Annual Plan / 3 month plan / Monthly Plan - and then a box at the bottom for a promo code.
I don't see how to start the Free trial - I can only proceed if I choose of of those options. Maybe the trial is only avail to US IPs? |

It's a buy 1 get 1 offer. Not a free trial.
The free trial code (1 month free, then billing starts) worked last week and via the code in my first post.
It's really worth the $10 to try it out (2 months for $10).
Unbelievable the number of games and the interface is awesome (3d scrolling environment). |
