the only complaint I have about the 92 is that the EQ knobs are too closer together. If they spaced them out a little more then the mixer would be perfect.

I just think they're way too loose.

that sucks curly :(
get the xone nigga!

I'll bet we can fix it for less than $50.

forget buying a new mixer... unless you really NEED a new expensive mixer for practicing at home.
AnomalyConcept
Sorry to hear about your mixer.

Honestly, my first reaction was it would be fun to fix it. But that's my inner EE (electrical engineer), the one I try so hard to suppress. =P

You could try to fix it, or you could always write it off as a loss and get something shiny new. =D

Sounds like the mixer served you well.

I always read Xone as X-one, but it appears that A&H pronounce it 'zone', so that's probably the 'official' way to say it.

I still think X-one sounds cooler. :o

(totally off-topic: 'emoticon' I read as emote-icon, and skype I read as 'sky-pe' [rather than one syllable]).

There you have it. =)

urggghhhh i feel the pain.... i have had a nightmare of doing something similar to my 600... i woke up in a panic

but whats done is done, and now u have the costly, but wonderfull choice of either going the 800 or the xone92... both are gorgeous and will do you no wrong... good luck with ur choice and sorry to hear bout the loss of teh 600

oh and by the way trance > house :eyespop:

See how cool it sounds when you say it in front of a bunch or semi or pro DJs and they all fall on the floor laughing.........!

PS It's written Xone, not X-one. How are all you lot pronouncing xylophone????

Yo momma's loose! Ohhhhh! :p

I have played with the rotary and up-fader versions of the 92,and the DJM-800. And of all three the rotary Xone wins hands down. If you want to craft your mixes slowly and carefully, it's the best.

what about Ableton?

abbel-ton vs. aye-bel-ton

Yup, yup. The hyphen was merely for pronounciation purposes, eg. 'ex one'.

I pronounce xylophone 'ex-whylofone'. =P

Edit:
Able-tun. the 'able' from 'capable' with the 'tun' from 'tunnel'.

I was standing my mixer up while I was plugging all the cables into it...and I turned to pick something up and just then my mixer decided to bungee jump off my table. 3 feet high! Just before hitting the ground, the power cord tightened saving the mixer from the collision with the floor. 4 inches of cord was yanked out from the back panel of the mixer...and the plastic that kept the cord in place was yanked out as well and in pieces. Knobs flew everywhere. I gathered a channel 3 gain knob, a channel 1 bass knob, and a channel 4 mid knob. I was completely devasted. I plugged the power cord back into the outlet and turned on the mixer...

No lights came on. It's over.

600, it was a good run for the nearly 2 years we rocked parties all over town. You were there for me through all the hard times. You were there for me when I changed from a trance dj to a house dj. You have been used by dj's such as DJ Rap, M3, DJ Dan, Dave Aude, Max Cheddar, Bas & Clovis, and almost all local dj's in Santa Barbara. You were there for my transition from vinyl to digital. Its going to be hard to say goodbye.

I cant do this anymore. I have to go...:nervous: :( :sadgreen:

In the one man's trash is another man's treasure section, how much would you want for it all shattered? I might just have it fixed...or see how much fixing I can do myself.

haha.. forgot i asked about the pronounciation in this thread :)

Good to know i was pronouncing it right.. I hate when something you've always thought was right all of a sudden turns into wrong and it's impossible for you to change without it sounding weird.

Anywho, AnomalyConcept i know what you mean with Skype, didn't know what way to go about it when i first heard about them.

It's kinda like reading a novel and stumbling across a weird name.

Sure half of the lord of the rings characters had ed up pronounciations when i was reading the book :D (jk)..

Long live the 600!!
