Protools vs Cubase vs Logic vs Ableton Live?????
Which one and why?

From those 4 I think Cubase has the most professional sound, and that is also the one where I've worked more with, so that's the one that I recommend. :)

sequences or sequencers? :D :D :D :D
Storyteller
none of the above, I prefer another sequencer.

to answer your question, there is no right or wrong. Yes certain programs are better/easier for certain tasks, but what you get from it qualitywise/soundwise lies within you the user. Thus the answer should be: The program which allows you to easily compose your music and realise your potential is the program that is best. Best for you, not for everyone.

In general there is no answer to this question, and a personal answer would require you to try all the mentioned packages.

Oh god I hope this turns into a flamewar (as always) so I have only one of the few decent answers.
