Your going to get flamed probably because it seems a good number of people here either hate breakdowns or are sick of them. I don't mind most of them though. Kind of sick of super-saws though.

| To say "there's nothing wrong with breakdowns" or indeed "breakdowns suck" is just being ing ridiculous. There's good and bad examples of breakdowns, just like absolutely everything else in dance music. Except the Hardstyle Synth of Doom, of course. That's just pure evil. |

Arksun - Arisen
The melody gets me every time... it gave me goosebumps when I heard it for the very first time, and luckily that first time was live at a big festival, Armin opened with it and it was a great musical moment for me. However Arisen didn't overshadow amazement I had from Sasha & Digweeds 2 hour set that they threw down right before Armin came on. Now THAT was the best DJ experience I have had yet... but now I'm on a tangent.
Arisen has a great breakdown. Some find it cheesey, I find it to be the happy medium. Great stuff and I hope to hear more like this from him. |
