Did anyone else see the Imogen Heap show at Massey Hall last night? Absolutely brillant performance by the lovely Immi as per usual and the guy who opened for her BLEW MY MIND. There isn't much new about Immi that I can say that I haven't said before...she was perfect even with her few mistakes and her endeary pixie like geeky stage presence. I love her for being so real. Now more about Kid Beyond....
Kid Beyond, beat box master, performed a cover of Portishead's "Wander Star" using layers of sound that he produced only with his mouth. Using LIVE software he records and plays the sounds he creates back thru a foot controller. When someone impresses Immi to the extent that this guy did you knew you were in for something special.

I am getting on this guys mailing list because if he comes back into Toronto and has his own show...something perhaps a bit smaller like Lees ... it will be SICK!!!.

yep...she was here again. Vibe was very different from her up close and personal initmate set at El mocambo ... but equally as wonderful.
