| Being caught in a pointless war that isn't even our own is an insult on Remembrance Day. |

Really?
So please do tell us all what our Canadian soldiers in the last two World Wars were doing and where they were?
You people really should think before coming up with arm chair critic statements like that.
Our soldiers are currently in Afghanistan legitimately, under U.N. approval, please get that through that thick hippie granola head attitude because the hypocrisy of complaining while others are fighting so you don't have to, is a little much.
Did you even go to the Remembrance Day ceremony; I'm going to go out on a limb here and probably say, no.
Sorry to hi-jack your thread Jayx1, but this urks me to the nth degree when it's obvious people have no idea what they're talking about (especially on this subject).

bravo.
But that changes nothing about this war.
Get our troops out, rather than rationalizing why they are there longer. |

Your attempt to avoid the statement is:
a) Petty
b) pathetic
c) lacking sense
a)This is petty for several reasons not the least of which include that no one who has a) cousin currently engaged in combat in Afghanistan c) three great uncles, one of which I am named by, who all died as a direct result of WW2 would ever disrespect those lost in combat. |
So tell me, how does your cousin feel about serving over there? And how would your relatives feel about that statment? Was WW2 a worthless war? That was fighting some enemy on foreign soil too wasnt it?
| quote: | | b) Your statement is Pathetic, because you think that attempting to stake a claim that I am shameful is redundant. |
how so? you slander a war that our soldiers are dying in on rememberence day. Of all days. Nov 11 is the day to honour vets both active and retired. Not a day to deal with politics.
| quote: | | c) lacking sense - because getting rid of Harper has nothing to do with rememberance day. |
You were the one who linked him to the war not me. let me qoute it again in case you forgot
| quote: | Stephen Harper has been great.
hopefully when he is escorted out of office, he too will leave this country with you.
Maybe the two of you guys can join "the fight" in Afghanistan, and rid the world of terrorists. |
If thats not disrespect on Rememberence day then you need lessons in ettiquette. Thank god vets dont read this board. |

when I read "slander", "etiquette", and "disrespect" all as a perspective of my original post I realise that sadly, people in Ontario are that stupid. |

are you kidding? harris was great despite what the unions would have you believe. He spent most of his political life CLEANING up the mess and debt that Bob Rae left behind if you really want the truth. |

Big deal, that's not going to change a thing; short memory too I see.
Did we forget it was the LIBERALS that sent our soldiers in the first place? |
