Hello everyone,
i'm currently on some projects using FL studio XXL 6 and my hardware (Rolqnd JX-305, Novation)
I got the VST V-station, z3ta+ plugins and I would like to create a beat equal to the one used my M.I.K.E. in his song, Push - Universal Nation.
The same beat has been used in Central Seven - Missing.
Anyone who can provide me the sample of this beat or know a way to produce it in FL ?
Thanks

| When you say 'beat' what do you mean exactly? The kickdrum? The percussion? You don't really need synths to create any kind of 'beat' - what you need is drum samples. |

you need a really bouncy, almost 808'ish kick. Then you need the signature gated push clap sample, found in a lot of the nicer trance clap libraries. Put in some quick stabbing, rumbling bass. And a simple saw pattern.
You're golden :p
It's one of the easier beats to recreate, I personally run into this problem a bit more than I should while producing. I'll have a beat going, real nice, then all of a sudden I realize it sounds way much like Push. |

| The kick is on the ueberschall techno trance essentials sample cd :) , his style is very unique maybe you should try recreating his style and then you eventually come to your own style anyway... Try doing a rolling bassline with an offbeat bass and use quite a bit of percussion so you get the energy flow. |

when you say stabbing??what do you mean?? do you use z3ta to create push sounds??
i find that creating push synths on z3ta just take up too much ram. i have a gigabyte of ram and it struggles with two seperate push sounding synths..anyone else find that?? |

i got that kick somewhere here, its used by alot of earlyer tracks which where a genre between trance and rave, some kind of hardtrance only without cheeze. ill post it here when i find it again beacuse ive renamed all my samples.
edit: found them
kick1
kick2
kick3
these are the three that sounds most like that kick, some eqing and maybe some compression and your there. |
Great post, just what I was looking for !
Now the only thing left is the clap and hihats that I hear in it. It's not my intention to reproduce the push drumset but i'm still in the experiment fase of my producing so...
By the way that push clap sample you guys are talking about, where do i get that? |

| a 909 clap or maybe cleaner with a gated reverb / reverb with attack / predelay. |
