Dice-K flying to Boston

The reported terms that I see on metsblog.com are: 6 years, $9M, with performance incentives which could get him up to $11-12M per year.

so apparently, the Brewers are interested in reigning World Series MVP Jeff Suppan. They are offering him a 4 year contract. :o :wtf:

good riddance. His 90mph fast ball isn't fooling anyone and neither is that slider that doesnt ing SLIDE. He should pack it in. 300 wins isn't impressive when it takes you 4 or 5 seasons to get those last 40-50 wins.

I personally think RJ was on something anyway before the steroid thing hit. How does he go from throwing high 90s to being in less than two seasons?

Never thought of that....very well could be true tho but I'm not jumping to conclusions...I love randy johnson (seattle mariner roots), but he's not Curt Schilling when it comes to playing with big market teams. He succeeded in Seattle and Arizona, 2 mid level market teams. Jumping to the Yankees was obviuosly too much for him..I expect him to get to 15 wins this year at least with the Diamondbacks

He would have been a great Yankee had he come in 2002 or 2003 when Cashman made his first of many pushes for the Unit. I respect and like the guy too even if tends to be a dink to fans and media alike. But he's just too far past it and was already over the hill when he became a Yankee. I wish him luck but I doubt he would have won any more than 12 games this year with the Yanks considering the shape of his fastball and slider.

I'll always respect Unit for proving me wrong from about 2000-2004 when I said he was DONE... I'd stay away from him like the plague, never drafted him, and the mother****** always lit me up...

I HATE this move, because it puts one more stake in my dream to see Rocket come back home... THE ONLY thing that would bring me back as a sox fan... Roger Clemens at home in Fenway... and this move just looks like Rocket to the Bronx is a clinch... and that's just ty... oh well...
