GIANT NEW YEAR’S EVE Celebration - New Location!
Long story short, we’re going BIG. Given the growing anticipation for the line-up we’ve assembled, we’re moving the GIANT New Year’s Eve Celebration to a more suitable (larger) location as we introduce… giant MAXIMUS!
We’ve confirmed a seven-acre site right off 8th Street and Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles, three blocks from the Bonaventure. On that site, over the three days leading up to New Year’s Eve, our production team will build three adjoining “big top” heated mega-structures creating an indoor capacity of 10,000 on one level, unlocking your ability to roam freely within the event.
The three mega-structures, each one strategically positioned for sound isolation, will feature custom stages for the biggest line-up on this planet, including lengthy sets by Sasha & John Digweed, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Sander Kleinenberg and more – all on one night!
The common courtyard between the mega-structures will feature one of the largest Canary Island Date Palm’s we’ve seen in addition to our famous giant Ferris Wheel, massive bars, food concessionaires and an array of amusements.
This 21+ one-night-only event will take place only on New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2006. Discount hotel packages will be offered for the 2000+ deluxe rooms at four luxury hotels within three blocks of the event. Centered within the high rise Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles with adjacent parking for over 5000 cars, the giant MAXIMUS New Year’s Eve Celebration will be… Convenient, Covered and Colossal!
General Admission, VIP Tickets and Hotel Packages go on sale next Wednesday, November 15, from 12noon onwards at giantclub.com.
Steve Lawler will perform giant at Vanguard on Saturday, December 30 and admission to this night is included for giant MAXIMUS VIP Ticket Holders! |

| Thumbs down because they've now compactd it into one day which means less music and shorter sets by everyone. |

What's the approximate length of a "lengthy set"? |

| id say anywhere from 5 to 8 hours could be considered lengthy |

| Before Jimmy Van M and Sasha and Diggers were the only acts scheduled for a full 12 hour time frame in one room, there was our Delta Heavy round 2. Now we're back to a sausage fest. |
